The Greenwood Lake 18K State Line Swim

This summer, endurance athlete and acclaimed musician Aleks Joshua will attempt the first complete swim around Greenwood Lake, an 11.5 mile, roughly 8-hour swim beginning and ending at Cove Castle Restaurant, with a 10:00 AM start time.

We invite everyone to join us at Cove Castle to kick off this incredible journey and return later in the day to celebrate Aleks’s finish. Whether you’re there to cheer him on at the start, welcome him back at the finish, or spend the day enjoying the lakefront atmosphere, Cove Castle will be the heart of the event.

More than just an athletic challenge, this swim carries a deeply personal meaning for the Cove Castle family. It is inspired by Wyatt, a courageous two-year-old from Warwick who recently received a life-saving heart transplant at NYU Langone Hospital. Wyatt is family to members of the Cove Castle staff, and his journey has touched the entire restaurant community in a special way. This event is incredibly close to our hearts, and we are honored to host it in his support.

Wyatt’s story is one of strength, resilience, and hope, and through this swim, we aim to raise awareness for pediatric heart conditions while supporting the families and medical teams who make miracles like his possible.

This is more than just a swim, it’s a day for the community to come together. Guests are encouraged to gather at Cove Castle, enjoy the food, drinks, and lakeside views, and be part of something truly meaningful. Come for the start, stay for the atmosphere, and return for the celebration as Aleks completes this historic challenge.

Supporters can also pledge donations based on the distance completed, with 100% of proceeds going directly to NYU Langone Hospital.
