About The Garrett Gardner Trio
With a sound described as bluesy, funky, jazzy and everything in between.. Garrett Gardner is a multi instrumentalist and singer who started playing music after being inspired by his late father, drummer Don Gardner.
Growing up he would hear stories about his dad playing with everyone from Legendary jazz musicians like the Pizzarelli’s, or Tom Jones.
Pursuing music from an early age, by the time Garrett was 15 he had shared stages with Pete Seeger, Earl slick, Yoko Ono, and The original members of the quarrymen (the band that went on to become The Beatles).
At 17 he went on to compete and reach Top 12 on “The Voice”, where he was mentored by Shakira, Joel Madden (of the band Good Charlotte), and had the pleasure of performing alongside Rod Stewart.
After The Voice (and highschool) he signed to a major label and moved to Amsterdam. Calling it a good learning experience, it gave him the chance to perform internationally in The USA, United Kingdom, and the Netherlands.
Joining him will be Joe Mullhaupt on Bass and Matthew Kopec on drums.
Joe Mullhaupt is a multi instrumentalist from New York, and has extensive experience performing, writing, and arranging. Always adding exactly what’s needed to fill out a great sound whether on guitar, bass or keys.
Matthew Kopec is a killer drummer with time “like a clock”. Whether it’s a hard rock tune, or a jazz ballad, Matt can Lay down the perfect backbeat to keep things moving. Not to mention his ability to really show off chops when the music calls for it.
Both are masters of their craft, which is why this lineup of The Garrett Gardner trio will make for an amazing night of live music!
